Engineers Without Borders (EWB-Rwanda) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that uses engineering practices to improve the quality of life through education and implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable engineering projects.
EWB-RWANDA has been officially registered under the legal personality was issued in 2019 with NO 553/RGB/NGO/LP/10/2019 and it was published in Official Gazette nº Special of 31/12/2020 by Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) for mission, vision and objectives or responsibilities as follows:
MISSION
EWB-RWANDA has been founded with a mission to partner with developing communities to improving the quality of life through education and implementation of environmentally and economically sustainable and equitable engineering projects.
EWB-Rwanda gives to University students and engineering professionals’ members a unique and life changing opportunity to participate in and improve the global community.
VISION
EWB-RWANDA has a vision in which the communities have the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs, and that our members together with our partners have the global perspectives through the innovative professional educational opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The main responsibilities of EWB-Rwanda is to involve the concept and implementation of Engineering assistance through which most Rwandans citizens have the opportunity to meet their most basic needs. For that, it will partner with EWBs from around the world, other organizations, institutions and local population.
- Projects identification and implementation;
- Providing technical assistance to “Rwanda Governmental , non- Governmental organization and others ;
- Built the spilt of innovation and entrepreneurship;
- Providing assistance to EWB-International in the implementation of its projects in Rwanda;
- Organize fundraising activities in order to implement and maintain identifies projects;
- Establishing training center and provide professional skills ;
- Partner with EWB-International in the implementation of projects and capacity building;
